Tortillas

 

Gluten free tortillas with fresh rocket salad, cherry tomatoes, avocado, and mini mozzarella!

 

If you can’t find gluten free tortillas at your favorite market, there is an even better solution: Make them! It is pretty simple.
All you need is:

1tsp sugar
100ml lukewarm water
1 tbsp yeast, or baking powder
3 cups bread mix flour
1/2 tsp salt
50ml sunflower oil

If you have all the ingredients, we can start!

Step 1 – Mix sugar and water in a bowl, and sprinkle the yeast on it. Leave it for 15 minutes. When you see that yeast is growing, it is time to take a …
… Step 2 – Add 2 cups of flour, oil, and salt into a bowl. When all ingredients are combined, add the last cup of flour and keep kneading the dough until it is no longer sticky.
Step 3 – When the dough is formed, take a rolling pin into a hand and start making tortilla shapes out of it.
Step 4 – Heat a pan and bake the tortillas. Be careful, they will be done very quickly!
Step 5 – Enjoy your homemade tortillas!

      Yes, it is very simple. I use gluten free bread mix flour, but you can use any flour you use for making pastry.

    Hi Tea, I would love to try this recipe! I have two quick questions: in the units of measurement, what is dcl? And can you tell me what specific types of flour make up the bread flour blend you used? Thank you!

      Hi Dominique, 1dl is 100ml. You can use any flour mix which you usually use for making pastry.
