This summer, Schär introduced the new Mix C – Mix Pâtisserie flour for sweets and cakes. It was an honor to try new flour for our market and write 3 sweet recipes that will be on the packaging of new flour. One of the recipes is this one – Urmašice.
Urmašice, a delicacy of oriental origin, is a traditional recipe in Serbia and Bosnia. There are plenty of variations for this dessert, but they all have a similar base and taste. What binds them is the luscious sugar sauce with lemon in which the cookies “rest” and absorb the sweetness. Gluten-free flour is a little different from regular wheat one, which is why it’s really important to find a good gluten-free recipe. Especially if the one who decides to make the recipe does not have much experience in the kitchen.
If you like old Serbian recipes, be sure this is one of these gluten free recipes you can trust 🙂
