Homemade gluten free chocolate
ice cream
It is summer, that hot period when people beg for some refreshment. Some go to the beach, some drink cold beverages, and some of them eat ice cream. For celiac people who chose the third solution, it is not that easy just to go to the store and buy ice cream.
Not all ice creams are gluten free, so you have to be careful. In Serbia, there is no ice cream with gluten free sign, that means no one is safe for us. If you want to buy ice cream on the street, there is always the risk of salmonella (It is a type of food poisoning caused by the Salmonella enterica bacterium. This infection is usually caused by eating raw or undercooked meat, poultry, eggs or egg products). The safest way to refresh yourself with ice cream is to make it at home. There are billion recipes on the internet for homemade ice cream, I always choose those without eggs. So today I will give you one new recipe for ice cream without raw eggs.
Ingredients:
2 bananas
100ml coconut milk
1 tbsp coconut oil
50g dark chocolate or 1 tbsp Nutella
50g Schär Maria cookies (this cookies contain milk and eggs. If you have any alergies replace them with some egg free cookies)
Preparation:
Well, preparation couldn’t be easier. Put bananas, milk and oil in a food processor or blender and mix it well. Add finely chopped chocolate or Nutela, smashed cookies and stir to combine. Use ice cream molds and fill them with the mixture. Leave in a freezer for about 3 hours.
That’s it! Enjoy!
