Smoked Silver Carp .. how does it sound to you?
Whether it is river or sea fish, I love to prepare it on Mediterranean way. Smoked fish has taste similar to the smoked meat, just it is lighter. Ingredients for my (Mediterranean) way of preparing are olive oil, lemon peal, rosemary and pepper. If you prepare regular, not smoked fish than you have to add some sea salt. Smoked fish is already salty so it doesn’t require additional salting. If you like, you can put some mozzarella and parmesan cheese on the top.
As a side dish I prepared something similar to sushi. It is a sushi. I used nori seaweed, rice, avocado and wasabi powder. When you make a sushi, the only thing you actually have to make is a rice.
For 1 cup of rice you have to put 1 cup of water. First, rinse the rice well, then put it in the water and leave for 20 minutes. Then place it on a high heat. When the water starts boiling, reduce to a minimum and leave for 10 minutes. After that, cover the rice and leave it for a half an hour. Pour the rice on a large plate and sprinkle with a mix of 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, 50ml vinegar and leave it to cool 20 minutes. Making a sushi is a kind of art. Now everything depends on you and your creativity.
Wasabi powder, soya sauce and nori seaweed are three very important ingredients which give that special taste to sushi. My advice is: Don’t start making a sushi without those three.
